A warning sign I missed the good part then I realized I started looking and the bubble burst I started looking for excuses Come on in I've got to tell you what a state I'm in I've got to tell you in my loudest tones That I started looking for a warning sign When the truth is I miss you Yeah the truth is That I miss you so. A warning sign You came back to haunt me and I realized That you were an island and I passed you by When you were an island to discover Come on in I've got to tell you what a state I'm in I've got to tell you in my loudest tones That I started looking for a warning sign When the truth is I miss you Yeah the truth is That I miss you so And I'm tired I should not have let you go So I crawl back into your open arms Yes I crawl back into your open arms And I crawl back into your open arms Yes I crawl back into your open arms ("warning sign" Coldplay) It's wonderful knowing that even if we aren't "together" by all physical purposes of the word, we love each other and that's all that matters. When we're closer geographically, it'll only get better. And that makes me look forward to the future, gives me hope for each passing day, and I feel a little bigger in this world knowing that at this same moment, someone wants me too. I've decided that love can be all the Shakespeare-inspired poems about butterflies and roses and pure, never-ending passion and romance.. but generally it's not. Can be, can feel like it, but that's not what true and pure love is. Love is a best friendship, full of compromises and defeat and no guarantee's. Love is crying without shame, wearing mismatching underwear and still feeling sexy; understanding and respecting what one another feels or thinks, whether understood or not. Love is when you know every flaw in your partner, every mistake, every annoying bad habit and still wanting that person around unconditionally. Love is in every sweaty embrace after making love, and in every casual hug. There. Love defined. I should be paid for this .. heh. Agree or disagree? Like it or hate it?
